Job Description:
- Develop and implement comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and environmental stewardship.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and environmental sustainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field; professional certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety management, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian environmental regulations and international EHS standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement in EHS performance.
