PML 18 (EGBAOMA FIELD)

The Egbaoma field (formerly Umutu/Asuokpu) was discovered with the drilling of the Umutu-1 Well in 1977 and Asuokpu-1 in 1988. The combined field areas were known as the Umutu/Asuokpu until it was renamed to Egbaoma in 2010 at the collective request of the four host communities.

The JV has developed the asset since after the handover from Shell, drilling wells and carrying out numerous interventions. The 10,000bopd Flow Station facility processes crude oil, which is stored in 40k bbls tanks temporarily before evacuation and export via the installed pipeline infrastructure. Oil and gas production has been sustained from the field since the achievement of First Oil in 2007. The current field production is ca. 3,000 bopd and 30,000 Mscf/d. The upstream operations are safe and efficient with a Flow Station uptime of 99.9% and over 3 million LTI free man hours. Platform has a 60% working interest and operatorship in the Egbaoma Field.
