| Driving is an activity that requires high standards of performance to achieve the level of safety demanded by Platform Petroleum Limited. It is the personal responsibility of each driver for the safe performance of all work related to driving activities. |
- At all times, national laws and regulations of transportation are to be obeyed by all Platform Petroleum Limited drivers.
- Company approved speed limits and journey route must be adhered strictly to by all drivers.
- Operational vehicle drivers will be counseled to adhere to the company’s speed limit and traffic laws.
- All vehicle drivers shall undergo defensive driving course.
- No personnel other than those engaged and trained as drivers is allowed to drive Company’s vehicle under any circumstance.
- Performing regular checks and maintenance to keep vehicles in good and safe working conditions.
- All employees must contribute to the achievement of the road safety objectives.
- All operational vehicles shall be equipped with functional in-vehicle-monitoring system (IVMS) and VHF radios.
- All vehicle movement must be tracked.
- Driving company vehicle in the night is prohibited. Any night driving must be authorized by the Field Operations Manager.
- Conduct periodic review of driving skills to monitor performance.
- All employees should make great efforts to prevent accidents.
- Investigate all transport related accidents and implement action points promptly.
